Alberta Flying Heritage Museum

The Alberta Flying Heritage Museum is an aviation museum currently being developed at the Edmonton/Villeneuve Airport in Villeneuve, Alberta, Canada.
== Development ==

The museum was officially announced by Alberta Aviation Museum President Mark Kowalchuk on 16 November 2013,〔(Important Announcement, Alberta Aviation Museum )〕 and is being built on of land donated by Edmonton Airports. A hangar that was previously at Edmonton City Centre Airport was also donated by Transport Canada and Public Works Canada and will serve as the museum's home. The museum, which is separate from the Alberta Aviation Museum, will be a hands-on experience and allow aircraft for exhibition to fly in and out. The museum will focus on the history of aviation in Alberta while the Alberta Aviation Museum will focus on Edmonton.
As part of the museum, the Alberta Aviation Museum's Boeing 737-200, ident C-GIPW, in Pacific Western Airlines (PWA) livery (Fleet #745) was restored to operational capability with the assistance of Canadian North and, on 29 November 2013, was flown to Villeneuve on a Schedule A Special Flight Permit issued by Transport Canada.〔(Future of Alberta Aviation Museum up in the air as City Centre Airport closure date nears )〕〔(737 takes off from City Centre Airport, lands safely at new home )〕〔(New aviation museum to be built just outside Edmonton at Villeneuve Airport )〕〔(Flying heritage museum planned for Alberta )〕〔(New Alberta Flying Heritage Museum )〕
